Opto Engineering HC hypercentric 360° lenses for sensors up to 1.1"
Hypercentric lenses for 360° inspection of the inner sides and bottom of objects

Opto Engineering HC hypercentric 360° lens Opto Engineering HC hypercentric 360° lenses are designed for sensors up to 1.1". These innovative high-resolution lenses provide simultaneous inspection of inner sides and bottom surfaces of diverse hollow cylindrical objects like bottles, cans, vials, threaded holes, and tubes.

HC hypercentric lenses image cavity interiors from the outside by utilizing a specialized optical path that allows light to pass through bottlenecks and narrow openings. The variable iris provides maximum flexibility and a wide viewing angle to clearly image the fine details of the object. Their unique design facilitates complete internal surface inspection with no need to use a probe, rotate the object or use a complex multi-camera system.

HC hypercentric (HC) lenses are available in three versions:

  • HCBI hypercentric lenses (HCBIxxx) - Inspect the bottom of hollow objects. By adjusting the f/N of the lens, part of the side wall can also be inspected in focus
  • HCSI hypercentric lenses (HCSIxxx) - Simultaneously inspect the bottom and inner walls of cavities in perfect focus
  • HCN nano hypercentric lenses (HCN13xxx) - Inspect the inner surfaces of tiny cavities, as small as 0.75 mm

Features

  • Inspect hollow objects with one camera with no need to rotate the object, or use a probe
  • High resolution simultaneous imaging of the inner walls and bottom of cavities
  • Inspect objects with different shapes and dimensions with the same lens
  • Wide viewing angle, manual focus adjustment and variable iris
  • Nano models - inspect very small cavities, as small as 0.75 mm

Opto Engineering 360° lenses are high quality lenses with superb optical performance. They are specifically designed for 360° inspection of objects, and are widely-used in machine vision applications such as automotive, pharmaceutical, and beverage inspection. Opto Engineering provides a wide selection of 360° lenses. Contact our Sales Engineers for expert advice and guidance on selecting the right lens for your machine vision imaging application.

Notes

  1. Working distance: distance between the front end of the mechanics and the object.
  2. Distance between the front end of the mechanics and the point where all the optical rays coming from the object converge (entrance pupil).
  3. Measured from the front end of the mechanics to the camera flange.
