The Gidel HawkEye-20GigE frame grabber is a PCIe x8 Gen. 3 frame grabber with a low-profile form factor that's designed for real-time, high-bandwidth vision and image processing applications. This FPGA-based frame grabber, achieves an acquisition bandwidth of 20 Gb/s through two SFP+ ports that enables grabbing from various camera configurations, including 2 x 10 GigE Vision cameras, multi-link cameras, or multiple GigE cameras (e.g., 4 x 5 GigE, 10 x 1 GigE) via a switch.
This revolutionary FPGA-based frame grabber provides optimal solutions for multi-camera systems with its high bandwidth, synchronization, connectivity, and scalability. The HawkEye-20GigE frame grabber's real-time FPGA processing ensures no frame loss and virtually zero CPU utilization, thereby dedicating the CPU to essential processing tasks.
Gidel FPGA frame grabbers offer real-time, high-bandwidth vision and image processing. Their frame grabbers range from economical off-the-shelf frame grabbers to high-performance, multi-camera custom solutions with 10GigE or CoaXPress interfaces. Development is streamlined with the ProcFG and InfiniVision SDK, which includes GUIs, APIs, and libraries with support for complex multi-camera setups, advanced image processing, and compression.
