The polarized cameras feature a Sony Polarization Image Sensor with a four-directional on-chip Polarizer. The sensor measures the polarization properties of light that are imperceptible to the human eye. Polarized filtering reduces the effects of reflections and glare from multiple directions and reveals otherwise undetectable imperfections in objects.
