Allied Vision Vimba X is a GenICam-compliant machine vision SDK designed for high-performance image acquisition and camera control. Supporting GigE Vision, USB3 Vision, and CSI-2 interfaces, Vimba X enables rapid development of industrial vision applications using C++, Python, and .NET APIs across Windows, Linux, macOS, and ARM platforms. Vimba X is optimized for Allied Vision cameras, and compatible with GenICam-compliant devices via standard transport layers.
Allied Vision Vimba X is a fully GenICam-compliant comprehensive SDK for prototyping and developing vision applications, optimized for Allied Vision cameras and compatible with GenICam-compliant devices via standard transport layers. Vimba X runs on Windows 10 and 11, Linux, Linux ARM, and macOS (all 64-bit). The SDK includes C, C++, .NET, and Python APIs, and the ImageTransform library.
The installation package, includes a migration guide, and Vimba X APIs are similar to the Vimba APIs to facilitate an easy migration.

Get Started with Vimba X
For all operating systems:
- You don't have to deinstall Vimba. You can install Vimba X on the same system in a directory of your choice.
- Vimba X SDK documentation and release notes are included in the SDK installation package.
- Vimba users: The Developer Guide includes a Migration Guide
Windows:
- If your Alvium USB camera is connected during installation, the driver is installed automatically.
- Driver Installer and Viewer are available in the Vimba X/bin directory.
- Examples are installed to C:\Users\Public\Documents\Allied Vision\Vimba X.
Linux and ARM:

The transport layers and install scripts are available in the VimbaX/cti directory.

The Viewer is available in the VimbaX/bin directory.
