The SVS-Vistek exo253ZGE GigE Polarized camera features a Sony IMX253 Polarized 12.3 megapixel sensor with 4096x3000 resolution, global shutter, 3.45 µm pixel size, and a 10 fps frame rate.

The polarized cameras feature a Sony Polarization Image Sensor with a four-directional on-chip Polarizer. The sensor measures the polarization properties of light that are imperceptible to the human eye. Polarized filtering reduces the effects of reflections and glare from multiple directions and reveals otherwise undetectable imperfections in objects. Polarization enables detection of stress, birefringence, through-reflection and glare from surfaces like glass, plastic, and metal.
