Ensenso S Series Industrial 3D Cameras

The IDS Imaging Ensenso S Series 3D GigE industrial camera is an ultra-compact industrial 3D camera built in zinc housing with IP65/67 protection. Ensenso S 3D cameras use 3D AI laser point triangulation to produce high quality 3D data with high depth accuracy. This 3D camera performs well even in low light conditions due to IR laser illumination and the camera’s IR filter. The Ensenso 3D camera is a cost-effective 3D camera for many budget conscious and high volume projects.

The S Series 3D camera features a Sony 1.6 megapixel global shutter sensor that produces up to 85,000 depth points and 20 point clouds per second. Even fast moving objects are captured with precise data. The Ensenso S Series 3D camera has a 60° field of view and a working distance range of 0.5 - 3 meters. The GigE interface enables easy integration.

AI laser point triangulation

Ensenso S Series 3D cameras use a 3D method based on structured light. The narrow-band IR laser projector produces a high-contrast pattern. Using artificial intelligence the laser points are mapped by the camera to the locations of the DOE (Diffractive Optical Elements) projection producing reliable 3D data with high depth accuracy. The 3D structured light 3D method opens up possibilities for many 3D applications where cost has been an issue.


The narrow-band IR laser projector produces a high-contrast pattern. Using artificial intelligence the laser points are mapped by the camera to produce 3D data with high depth accuracy.
