JAI Apex prism-based cameras were designed for use in highly demanding machine vision and scientific imaging applications requiring accurate color imaging and reproduction via a prism-based optical path. By incorporating the prism-based imaging technique incoming light is separated into red, green and blue wavelengths, and captured by three precisely aligned CMOS sensors. The result is better color accuracy and spatial precision than traditional color cameras using the Bayer mosaic technique. Apex prism-based cameras are available with a Camera Link, 1GigE, 5GigE, 10GigE, or USB3 interface in resolutions from VGA to 5.1 megapixels and frame rates up to 126 fps in compact housing with low power dissipation.
