The Prophesee Metavision® EVK4 is an ultra light, compact, and high-speed HD evaluation kit for Event-Based Vision systems. The colaboration between Sony Semiconductor Solutions and Prophesee enables next generation computer vision performance that can't be achieved with traditional image-based sensors. With the EVK4 Evalution Kit, you can experience and evaluate this exciting event-based vision technology and neuromorphic engineering.
The Sony / Prophesee partnership integrates Sony stacked Event-Based Vision Sensors (EVS); Sony IMX636 sensor technology with Prophesee's event-based vision sensing technology enabling high-speed and high-precision data acquisition for event-based vision.
In addition to the Sony IMX636 stacked event-base vsion sensor, the EVK4 HD Event Camera is built with heat dissapating, high-quality aluminum alloy housing, weighs only 40 grams and is ultra-compact (30x30x36mm) with multiple mounting options. With it's Plug-n-Play design, simply connect the event camera to your computer with the USB3 connector, and you're up and running.
The EVK4 evaluation kit includes the award-winning Prophesee Metavision® SDK5 PRO Event-Based Vision software suite / Toolkit. The SDK includes numerous AI algorithms, code samples and tutorials to streamline event-based vision application development.
Event-Based Vision Sensors (EVS) and neuromorphic engineering technology have overcome the limits encountered with traditional machine vision technology, and enabled many exciting applications to be developed including object tracking, fall detection, eye tracking, gesture recognition, constellation tracking, motion analysis, and vibration tracking. Check out these Event-Based Vision System applications in action.
* DR >86dB (5 lux – 100000 lux) 5 lux is the minimum light level guaranteeing inclusion of all possible operating points.
**DR >120 dB (Low-light cut-off 0.08 lux – 100000 lux) Low-light cut-off is the minimum light level guaranteeing nominal contrast sensitivity. For many typical applications, the sensor data are actionable down to this light level. 100000 lux is a virtual high-light limit, not experienced in experiment.
