Computar MPY Series!"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_494\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-494\" style=\"width: 230px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-494\" src=\"https:\/\/www.1stvision.com\/machine-vision-solutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Computar-MPY-lens-series.jpg\" alt=\"Computar MPY Series Lenses\" width=\"230\" height=\"174\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.1stvision.com\/machine-vision-solutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Computar-MPY-lens-series.jpg 392w, https:\/\/www.1stvision.com\/machine-vision-solutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/Computar-MPY-lens-series-300x227.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 230px) 100vw, 230px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-494\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Computar MPY lens series<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>If you have been around<strong><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stvision.com\/cameras\/industrialCameras\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> industrial camera lenses <\/a><\/span><\/strong>for a while, you know that there are many \u00bd\u201d and 2\/3\u201d lenses, not as many 1\u201d lenses, but what do you do when you have a 1.1\u201d sensor?!\u00a0\u00a0 The solution?\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stvision.com\/lens\/computar-lens.html#lens1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong>Use the Computar MPY\u00a0 12 Megapixel lenses!<\/strong><\/span><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stvision.com\/contact.html\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-532\" src=\"https:\/\/www.1stvision.com\/machine-vision-solutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/1st-vision-button_contact-us-technical-details.jpg\" alt=\"Contact us\" width=\"638\" height=\"111\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.1stvision.com\/machine-vision-solutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/1st-vision-button_contact-us-technical-details.jpg 638w, https:\/\/www.1stvision.com\/machine-vision-solutions\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/1st-vision-button_contact-us-technical-details-300x52.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 638px) 100vw, 638px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>If you have been following Sony\u2019s new IMX image sensor product line, their newest sensors are based on a 3.65um pixel pitch.\u00a0 However, when you scale this up to their new 12MP sensor (Sony Pregius <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stvision.com\/cameras\/sensor_specs\/IMX253-IMX255-sensor-spec.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">IMX253<\/a>, IMX304), the sensor size becomes 1.1\u201d (17.6mm diagonal) format.\u00a0 A 1\u201d lens format will not cover this image circle and in turn has vignetting in your image\u00a0<span style=\"color: #000080;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stvision.com\/machine-vision-solutions\/2017\/08\/how-does-a-lens-optical-format-relate-to-machine-vision-cameras.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> (Read our blog post on sensor size vs. lens size )<\/a> .<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>One possible solution is to use a 1\u201d lens and vignette 5% on each side, or use a 1\u201d lens and stop it down where the vignetting goes away.\u00a0 However this is not an optimal solution.\u00a0 A second solution is to use a F Mount lens, but if the camera is a C mount, you will need a C to F adapter, again less than ideal.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately there are some C mount lenses that are greater than a 1\u201d image format.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stvision.com\/lens\/kowa-lens.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Kowa<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stvision.com\/lens\/schneider-optics-lens.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Schneider <\/a>both have been shipping 4\/3\u201d format lenses, although these are quite expensive.\u00a0 Recently, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.1stvision.com\/lens\/computar-lens.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Computar<\/a><\/strong> has come out with a line of 1.1\u201d format lenses SPECIFICALLY\u00a0 for this sensor!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Features of the 1.1&#8243;
