ROI

The frame rate does not increase by the use of a horizontal ROI.

It is possible to set a maximum ROI that is larger than the default ROI. The default ROI is the recommended ROI size of the sensor manufacturer. The offset of the default ROI is such that the ROI is centered. The maximum ROI includes all usable pixels. This can be used e.g. for debayering without special edge processing with recommended default ROI. To set the maximum ROI

1.Set the default ROI.

2.Decrease the offset.

3.Then increase the height and width of the ROI.

Binning

Sensor binning is only supported by monochrome sensors.

Decimation

The model only supports FPGA decimation and no sensor decimation.

The frame rate does not increase with decimation.

Black level

Only deactivate the sensor's own automatic black level control if you carefully evaluate the camera's operation afterwards, as this may cause deviating image quality. It is recommended to use the sensor's own black level control.

Pixel format

Due to the manufacturer, the minimum and maximum pixel values are not used for the sensor pixel formats. For example, in a 12-bit pixel format, only the value 4094 is reached for saturation, but not 4095.

From GigE Vision firmware 3.2 on, you can switch to a native 8-bit input format of the sensor if you want to use an 8-bit output format. Note that you might expect the noise level to be doubled with the 8-bit input format compared to the 10-bit input format.

Start behavior of digital outputs

The functionality of an machine vision camera is realized by the combination of different electronic components. While the camera is starting, the firmware initializes the camera electronics. Until initialization is complete, the camera outputs may remain in an undefined state for a short time. On the GigE uEye Warp10, during camera startup, the optocoupler outputs close after about 3.8 s for approx. 21 µs. After that, the camera is ready for operation.

PTPControl is supported from firmware version 3.30 on.

Signal-Multiplier

SignalMultiplierControl is supported from firmware version 3.30 on.
