ROI
•The frame rate does not increase by the use of a horizontal ROI.
Binning
•Horizontal and vertical binning can only be used jointly.
•For 10-bit pixel formats, only sensor binning in “Average” mode is possible.
•For 12-bit pixel formats, only sensor binning in “DeviceSpecific” mode is possible.
Due to the device-specific implementation, the advantage of 2x2 binning is reduced (compared to sensor binning in “Average” mode). Compared to other sensors, sensor binning in ‘DeviceSpecific’ mode offers metrological advantages, but these are less significant. Sensor binning in “DeviceSpecific” mode has the following advantages compared to regular readout:
oLess temporal dark noise and higher dynamic range
o50% increase in signal-to-noise ratio
o2x higher saturation capacity
Decimation
•The model only supports FPGA decimation and no sensor decimation.
Flash
•The sensor does not support flash.
GigE uEye+ LE Rev. 2
The model does not support the following features:
•Automatic exposure (ExposureAuto)
Alternatively, you can perform auto exposure on the host with IDS peak comfortSDK or you can use the auto functions in IDS peak genericSDK.
•Automatic gain (GainAuto)
Alternatively, you can perform the gain functions on the host with IDS peak comfortSDK or you can use the auto functions in IDS peak genericSDK.
•Automatic white balance (BalanceWhiteAuto)
Alternatively, you can perform the automatic white balance on the host with IDS peak comfortSDK or you can use the auto functions in IDS peak genericSDK.
•Chunks (ChunkDataControl)
•Color correction (ColorCorectionMode)
Alternatively, you can perform color correction on the host.
•Gamma (Gamma)
Alternatively, you can use IDS peak IPL to perform gamma on the host.
•Line scan mode (SensorOperationMode "Linescan")
•LUT (LUTControl)
•Pulse-width modulation (PWMControl)
•Sequencer (SequencerControl)
