Allied Vision Tech Fire4Linux Software

  Fire4Linux

AVT Fire4Linux is a comfortable and complete package that has been specially developed for AVT cameras and set up for the SUSE and Red Hat distributions. One thus doesn’t have to look for additional components on the Internet as everything is included with this package. The result can be justly called “Plug and Play”.

AVT Fire4Linux builds on the standardized Linux drivers and libraries for FireWire cameras and is completed by our own AVT camera APL. With this, all AVT special camera features are comfortably integrated into the program. Fire4Linux also offers a special viewer to enable the comfortable control and testing of all AVT camera features.

Linux newbies take note: Linux may be a special environment that doesn’t come close to the Windows distribution but it also offers huge amounts of source code for the most different applications and uses as well as a diverse software base. The prerequisites for a quick start have been established. There are entire industry branches that rely solely on Linux.

One achieves high performance with Linux as well as a good cost/performance ratio. A change can be well worth it.
